Weight Loss Diet Plan

At health yoga way, we show you the path to good health and fitness with yoga. However, to gain complete fitness, only exercise is not enough. It is essential to accompany the same with healthy food. Our body needs the right amount of various vitamins, iron, calcium and fats. Your food should be a balance of all of this.

Crash diets and short-term diets are not the best way to go about it. It might show results in a short span of time but will not sustain for long. It is best to follow a healthy diet that can be sustained for long and helps us not only to lose weight but also maintain the lost weight. They should not be devoid of your essentials (mentioned above)

Your daily diet should be a mix of vegetables, fruits, whole wheat breads (Roti), lentils and some brown rice.

Anything that is white is harmful. This includes salt, sugar, milk and milk products.
It is a common myth that milk is essential for health since it contains calcium that is needed for the body. Calcium is certainly needed for the body but there are other supplements that can give you calcium. We list down below a healthy vegetarian diet for you which will work wonders if accompanied with yoga.

TIP: Eat small quantities more number of times. I.e.. If you eat 3 meals a day, eat 6 times a day but in smaller quantities. Avoid sweets and deep fried. But make it a point to treat yourself with your favorite food and indulge once a week. This will avoid your sweet tooth pangs during the entire week.


Wight Loss Diet

Breakfast : After your morning tea, when its time for breakfast, A boiled egg without the yolk, OR a South Indian dish called idly OR 3 Marie biscuits OR baked items from OATS  or OAT floor.
 
Mid morning snacks: You should eat lots of fruits. 

12 pm: Have a bowl of soup at least half an hour before lunch

Lunch: This should be a balanced meal. Nothing should be avoided; some people advise avoiding roti / whole wheat breads or Rice. We advise you to eat all of this in small quantities. Salad, Lentil (Daal), Brown Rice, Whole wheat bread (Roti) and Vegetable. Avoid potatoes in your vegetables. Use olive oil for cooking. Cook in non-stick vessels as this will help you to cook your food in very less oil

Early evening: Tea without milk and sugar and light snacks like Dry bhel or fruits

Dinner – before 7 pm – It is advisable to have your dinner before sunset. This helps digestion of your dinner before you go to sleep. A bowl of soup, salads and vegetables
