Bhujangasana
Bhujangasana in Yogasana is an asana or pose of yoga that enables your body to gradually become more flexible.
In the pose of Bhujangasana, a person feels a stretch of the front side and contraction of the backside of his / her body.
Bhujangasana is a magical cure for many ailments like
- Backache,
- Leg ache,
- Gastric problems,
- love handles, etc
Due to wrong posture and many other reasons space between intra vertebras of the spine increases. This pose of Bhujangasana helps to decreases this space, so the patient gets relief in pain fast.
It also supplies more blood to leg and stomach; hence it is good for relief in leg ache and gastric trouble. The most interesting and attractive part of this exercise is that it also helps to reduce fat on stomach and legs. Fat easily gets accumulated at these places and we are constantly trying to lose weight from these specific areas. Bhujangasana is an easy way to get these results. It is not at all difficult and can be performed by any body. All you have to do is follow some simple instructions and gradually you will become an expert yourself Now I will explain how to perform Bhujangasana.
Instructions:
Lie down facing the floor with your chin touching the floor. Keep the palms touching the floor near your chest, lift your upper body slowly while breathing in, hold till you can with normal breathing, and then slowly come down with exhaling. The body shape is like a snake, which is called Bhujanga, so it is called Bhujangasana.
Little variation in Bhujangasana:
At the pose of Bhujanga, with lifted body, try to see heels of the legs from right as well as left sides. When we try to see from right side, we feel a stretch in the left thigh and when we try to see them from the left side we feel a stretch in the right thigh. Generally dancers are suffering from cellulites, especially when they leave the practice of dancing. So for them performing this variation is a boon.
So, if you are suffering from cellulites variation in Bhujangasana helps a lot.
