Halasana

The pose of Halasana is exactly opposite to the pose of Dhanurasana and Bhujangasana,. Here, in this pose a contraction of front side and stretch of backside takes place. So both the sides are equally affected. Halasana is a boon for people who want to achieve the following

It can be performed easily by following some simple instructions, which are as follows;

Instructions:
Lie down with your back on the floor, lift leg while inhaling till they reach ninety degrees upward, then slowly lift your back upward, support back with hands (palms), slowly move leg towards head and try to touch the floor with feet near head. Hold till you can with normal breathing. Then slowly while exhaling take leg and back to the floor. If possible repeat it at least five times daily and gradually reach up to ten times daily.
