Kandharasana
While performing this asana half body is lifted up from the floor, but the feet are on the floor so with support of both the feet lower back is lifted and from knee to shoulders the weight goes on joining line of both the shoulders i.e. cervical bones. In Sanskrit, shoulders means kandhas so the name of this asana is Kandharasana. The name itself shows that this asana is meant for shoulders means cervical bones. It helps make the shoulders stronger. It cures or gives relief for:
• Cervical spondilitis• Back ache
It can be performed easily by following some simple instructions, which are as follows;
InstructionsLie down on your back, bend both the legs from knees, and keep palms near the leg, lift the lower back slowly as much you can while breathing in. Hold as much you can, breathe normally, and then slowly get it down while exhaling.
