Six important Pranayama’s
To perform all these pranayama’s we have to sit in Padmasana or Sidhhasana or Sukhasana,in any one dhyana position.
Actually Baba Ramdev has made this group of six pranayam for modern fast life living person to live complete healthy life.
- Bhasarika Pranayama
Breathe in fully and slowly, fill the breath in your chest and breathe out normally. Continue minimum for two minutes and maximum for five minutes. In winter we can do it for some more minutes. This creates heat and energy in the body.
- Kapalbhati Pranayam
Breathe in normally and concentrate on exhaling as we have to breathe out fast alongwith contraction of stomach. This will make some noise of breath exhalation.
- Uddyan bandhha and Agnisaara which is also called bahya pranayam
First breathe out totally, try to touch your chin below the throat then try to close (shut) lowest part of rectum, lowest part of chest and lower part of throat- by contracting all the parts. This is called Uddyan bandhha.
Then try to contract your tummy and release simultaneously, repeat it till you can without breathing in, stop it when you want to breathe again. First release your tummy and then slowly breathe in deeply. This total action is called Agnisara. Which is also called Bahya pranayam.
- Anulomvilom
Breathe out fully, shut right nose and breathe with left nose and then shut left nose and release right one and breathe out with it, again breathe with the same right and shut it, release left one and breathe out with it, repeat the procedure fro minimum ten minutes. By doing this we are controlling our (right nose) that is Pingala nadi and (left nose) Ida nadi that is Chandra nadi, when both the nadies are working together it is called Sushumna nadi. So this pranayama is helpful in curing most of the diseases.
- Bhramari pranayam
Keep first finger of both the hands near your eyebrows the other three near both the sides of your nose one below the other in sequence and thumbs near ears to close ears. First breathe in long and deeply and then close the ears by thumbs. And while breathing out make noise ommm…m. Repeat it at least for five times. Increase it gradually for ten times.
- Udgirth pranayam
Breathe in long and deep then while breathing out utter slowly O…..M…Repeat this as much time you can. This helps to keep healthy mind and body together. The patient who can not do any exercise can be cured gradually by this action or say kriya called Omkar or Udgirth pranayam.
