Fitness before new year with yogasana
With New Year and Christmas parties round the corner, we all want to lose weight and get fit in the next few days. Boutiques and Fashion stores have started displaying fabulous flowing gowns, backless figure hugging dresses and the works.
Everybody is dressed to kill. Why should you be left out? You still have 10 days to go. At health yoga way, we give you 40 minutes of exercise daily. Follow these regularly along with a healthy diet and get into your dream figure before the party begins.
40 minutes to a dream figure.
- Pranakarshana:
Pranakarshana for two to five minutes i.e. ten or more times.Sit erect, shut your eyes, hands on lap, with relaxed mood, Focus on breathing in and out. If possible, utter 'so' while breathing in and 'hum' while breathing out, without leap movement. Means think of 'so' and 'hum' as "God I am you and thou are myself". This thought will make you fresh .
- Vrittasana
Vrittasana should be performed for five to ten minutes i.e. start with five to ten times and gradually increase as much as you want. This helps to reduce your stomach and makes the hip joints strong.Lie down on the floor, lift your leg till ninety degrees and rotate them round from left to right then down and up in clock wise circular movement. Repeat it at least ten times. Take your legs down and relax for one or two minutes till your breathing gts normal. Then repeat it but in the anti clock wise manners and again take your leg down and relax till you're breathing normally
One circular movement helps you to lose one gram of fat .
- Paddling Cycle:
This can be started with a frequency of five to ten times and than gradually increased to your capacity.Lie down on the floor, lift your leg and move round as if you are paddling a cycle, if you can't do with both the leg at a time you can do it with one leg first and then with the other leg. Repeat ten times and then rest for a while and do it ten times in the reverse manner. This will help to reduce fat on the thighs, buttocks, calf muscles and stomach too. Also increases the strength of your hip joint and knee joint.
- Surya Namaskara:
Surya Namaskara is a fantastic exercise It acts on your full body.It consists of six asana's. And it is repeated twice so it is twelve in one.
After Surya Namaskara we have to wait, stand for few seconds to relax until our breathing is normal.
Then repeat it but start with other leg. In the beginning repeat for four to five times and then increase as per your capacity. Should be increased up to at least 10 counts
So like this we are doing twelve asana's at a time and all parts of our body gets exercised. Hence, it is called asana for full body.
Lastly you must do Savasana. I.e. full body relaxation.
- Savasana:
Lie down on the floor, hands slightly apart from body, legs also apart from each other, head slightly moved towards left side, eyes closed and release full body, just think of god and breathing in and out. After some time when you feel fresh gather your legs and hands, rub your palms and put on your eyes, move on full face and open your eyes. Slowly sit up, pray for few seconds and get up. This is Savasana. No need to repeat it. But this will certainly make you magically freshIf you follow this daily with a reduced oil and no sweet diet, you will get tremendous result
